Micheal Townsend has recieved his Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music from Northwestern State University in 1991. He has been a two time All-State in Vocal Music. Mr. Townsend has also been a participate in All-State as a tuba player. Micheal Townsend was apart of numerous bands and choirs at NSU. At EJHS, in Houma, Mr. Townsend taught for 9 years where he was voted "Teacher of the Year" in 2001. After, Mr. Townsend became apart of Destrehan High School's staff. At DHS Mr. Townsend has excelled at District and State level competitions. He was also nominated for "Teacher of the Year" for this school year. Mr. Townsend can be heard on the radio as the commercial voice of Northshore Square Mall in Hammond and the Southland Mall in Houma.
